Professional Experience, Current

State faculty director of 6-state Great Plains Consortium distance-delivered Masters program in Community Development . Degree Program was launched, fall 2005

Co-director of Annual Nebraska Rural Poll. The annual survey provides valuable indicators of the state of rural Nebraska and the issues facing these rural places.

Principal Investigator of ongoing research on the Nebraska retailing patterns (time-series and cross-sectional). Special emphasis on rural economies and their retail viability.

Principal investigator of ongoing research of the Nebraska agricultural land markets. I have built a 25-year data series that has become the official most widely-used data base for agricultural land values and cash rents in Nebraska .
